About Carolyn and Mitch
At the age of 8 years old, Carolyn gave her heart to Jesus in a small room inside the Church of God her
grandparents had helped build in Salinas, California. At the time, her parents were not active in the
Church. Later, after Carolyn became an adult, she would come to understand the reasons and as a
result of that understanding, she has dedicated her life to help dispel the legalistic words that can
come from well meaning folks who never really understood the difference between the Old and the
New Covenant.
Carolyn is grateful that her parents made sure their children would be in attendance at church every
week and show respect to the elders and the wonderful ladies who taught the Sunday School.
Because of her parents tenacity, she did attend faithfully and one day as her Sunday School teacher
began to tell the story about a God who sent His beloved Son into a fallen world to die on the Cross
for her sins to ensure her eternal life, Carolyn knelt down and asked Jesus to come into to her life.
Carolyn will admit that the church she attended as a child taught more on the subject of a God of
wrath. After many years of believing a story about a God of "thou shalt not", a dangerous root of
condemnation began to take hold. Through prayer and searching the scriptures, God began to show
her His truths and the layers of condemnation slowly began to unravel.
One day after years of study, Carolyn uncovered a hidden truth in God's word. It became clear to her
why her heavenly Father sent His precious Son, Jesus, into this world to die on a Cross. The words,
“Thou shall not”, “Thou shall not”, would be forever changed in her life to the words, “I will”, “I will”,
“I will..”.
The truth was found in the book of Hebrews chapter 8, the wonderful covenant and promises our
Lord Jesus provided for us through the finished work of the Cross.
10...I will put My laws in their mind; I will be their God;
12…I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember
no more
That day her life began a new. She came to understand her purpose and the calling upon her life.
In the early 1980s after Carolyn had returned from Arizona to California, CMMinistries (initially
founded as New Wave Ministries) was established as an international ministry and begin the work of
taking this wonderful truth of Jesus’ words of a life filled with rest. She has faithfully stood behind
pulpits and taught the Words of Jesus. Like Paul, she endeavors daily to press towards the mark of
the high calling, which is Christ Jesus. Carolyn has come to understand that when you realize who
you are in Christ Jesus, man's words can never stop you from becoming what God has called you to
be. Jesus called her to a life of preaching the Gospel of Grace. He has anointed and established her in
His finished work of the cross. The cross qualifies her to be a success; it gives her His ability to stand
where He places her. It enables her to be a blessing because of His blessing. The cross of Jesus has
completed Carolyn.
In the summer of 1996, she met a wonderful man named Mitch who had known Jesus, but was not
walking with him at that time. He, too, was living under the false sense of condemnation. A short
time after meeting, Mitch and Carolyn married at a small Christian Church in the Elk Grove area.
After unveiling the love and the unmerited favor of God's grace, Mitch’s life became transformed.
In 2003, Jesus called Mitch into the ministry to spread the Gospel of Grace with Carolyn. Their focus
is to take the words of Jesus “I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, their sins and their lawless
deeds I will remember no more” to everyone. These words perfectly describe what they think, what
they live, and what they minister to anyone who is looking for a life of favor. Right now, if you are
reading this, Carolyn and Mitch want to welcome you to come just as you are, to a home church that
will lead you to a new beginning, give you a fresh start, and help you find your personal identity in
the cross of Jesus Christ. The cross of Jesus Christ assures us all that this New Covenant of Grace is
freely given to us. It is based entirely upon what Jesus has already done. It is not based upon what
you have done. Your part is to just believe and have faith in Jesus that His shed blood forever
forgives you and frees you to enjoy a life worth living. With the Master at their side, Carolyn and
Mitch are here for you. What are you waiting for?
